Patient Safety: Patient and Family Role and Responsibilities

San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital strives to ensure the highest level of patient care, comfort and safety. All staff are committed to patient safety and you and your family members are a central part of this effort. You are an important member of the healthcare team!
Your responsibilities as a member of the healthcare team are as follows:

Provide accurate and complete information about present complaints, past illnesses, hospitalizations, medications and other matters relating to your health or the health of your family member. If you did not bring the complete list of medications with you, please have a family member provide that information as soon as possible.

Immediately report any problems or issues in the care you are receiving and any unexpected changes in your condition of your family member to the nurse or doctor. If you wish to speak with someone other than your nurse or doctor, please ask your nurse for the charge nurse or nursing director, or call the House Supervisor at (951) 537-7764.

When you go home, you will receive a patient satisfaction survey that will ask about your stay in the hospital. Please take the time to answer these questions. Your feedback is important to us.
