The Joint Commission (TJC)
In 2009, The Joint Commission (TJC) announced that San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital is fully accredited. This accreditation is valid for up to 39 months. TJC conducts surveys of hospitals to evaluate the compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards. The survey results are then used to determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation should be awarded to hospitals.
Joint Commission standards deal with organizational quality and safety of care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided.
When you or your family have a concern about patient care and safety in the hospital that has not been adequately resolved, please contact the department director at 951-845-1121. If the problem is not handled to your satisfaction, please contact Administration at 951-769-2101.
